Meet Angela

Angela Bickford

Welcome! My name is Angela Bickford, and while this site represents who I am as a person and it’s where I blog about life, it’s also a representation of what I do for a living and how you can connect with me on a professional level.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, baking, and sleeping. And now, I’m the proud mom of triplets! On my blog, you might see posts about family, loss, and surviving tragedy. Or I might talk about how I’m dealing with things I’m currently going through and how my faith plays a role. Or maybe, just something completely random. It’s how I roll. In the end though, when you walk away from reading my latest post, I want you to take away a feeling of survival. Of someone who overcame something. Of someone who survived. Because that’s what we all do. We survive.

I also am a regular contributor at a Christian women’s blog, Thirty-One:10, and a moms of multiples blog, How Do You Do It? – be sure to check them both out!

As a business owner, writer, editor, marketer, and social media lover, I have had the opportunity to be involved in many things. I consider myself a Communications Specialist. See why.

Where I Currently Spend My Time:

One of my goals in business is to give back. I sometimes do giveaways, working with others to help promote their ideas or give towards their efforts, and love being involved in charities. I also started my own fundraiser in honor of Carter, one of my triplets who passed away at 49 days old.

But, I wanted even more. What drives me the most is helping people – that’s the bottom line in all I do. So, when the opportunity arose to join the staff over at Hand to Hold, I couldn’t pass it up. I’m now their Lead Blogger (at Preemie Babies 101), where I’ll manage a team of writers, help support the Hand to Hold mission, and connect with other parents of preemies. Truly a dream job!

One of the grander business goals I have is to be published – and it’s happening! My first book, Beating Bed Rest, is on Amazon, my second is in the works (it’s about how to help someone through loss), and I’ve got more where those came from!

There’s not much time for freelance endeavors in my life right now, and I’m okay with that. I’m still taking on some business though, so feel free to connect with me to hire me or just to pick my brain.

A Little History:

I started out after college as an Elementary teacher – that only lasted 7 years. 🙂 After learning that I had an entrepreneurial spirit, I decided to begin my work-at-home career…

I have written for two local magazines, been the editor of one local magazine, and was the publisher of an online resource site I founded called Simply Cy-Fair. I have also edited 5 published books and several business articles.

As a regular guest blogger on several well-known sites, I am always looking to further my blogging expertise. I have participated in ProBlogger’s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog with SITS, attended Bloggy Boot Camp, Blissdom, and Declare, been a part of several blog tours, and have co-sponsored the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog with two other bloggers.

In addition, I’ve had opportunities to mentor, both in my role as a National Staff Development Coordinator & Mentor, and as the former Local Director for LeadHer. These were some of my most fulfilling roles.
